We are super excited to be hosting our 2022-2023 Binational Artwalk!
Our 2022-2023 BAC Fellows, Jessica Rubio, Richard Ford, and Dania Lizbeth Santiago Valenzuela, will be debuting their fantastic work at the art walk. Alongside them, we will have performers, artists, and many other local community vendors.
Please join us on both of these amazing days to support expanding the Douglas and Agua Prieta arts community to create connections for past, present, and future generations!

Jessica Rubio
DANCER/CHOREOGRAPHER
A student at Cochise College completing her Associate’s Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She is a dance-maker and a binational performing artist based in Douglas, AZ, whose work is inspired and centered within Mexican American border experiences and stories, merging collaboration, creation, and unity to contemporary movement.

Dania Santiago
PEFORMING URBAN DANCER
A performing urban dancer based in Agua Pietra, SON. Her work is focused on the Latinx community through reggaetón and hip hop/rap in Spanish choreographies. She has participated in national contents like Hip-Hop International, World of Dance, Expression Dance, and Mash. Dania is the Director of the Agua Prieta dance group, Lionettes, who recently won first place in a local contest and second place in the Cebec contest in Hermosillo, Sonora.

Richard Ford
PERFORMING ARTIST
A performing artist, songwriter, and the lead singer for the Arizona music collective, The Sounds of the Most High. This past year Richard completed his Associates degree at Cochise College and plans to continue his education at a university level. Richard aims to create platforms where new and developing talents can hone and share their skills with the community. Through his music, he brings awareness to the challenges of growing up within a border community and the diversity of living in Douglas, AZ.
