AZ Art Worker

Since 2015, BAC has has partnered with the Arizona Commision on the Arts to facilitate AZ Artworker, a program fostered by the generous support of the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation. The partnership provides an expansive learning platform through practical and entrepreneurial training, experiential activities, and public events.

Our first collaboration helped helped launched the AZ Artworker presence in Douglas and included our communities' first bi-national art walk, a visit from internationally renowned artist Ana Teresa Fernández, and more. We were able to engage local and visiting artists, community members, and visitors from throughout the region and both sides of the border.

Since then, we’ve been lucky enough to partner with Yadira de la Douglas, Claudio Dicochea, Margarita Cabrera, and other phenomenal artists working in the region.
